SkyPlanner APS is an advanced planning and scheduling (APS) system best for manufacturers of any size that want finite capacity scheduling with automatic rescheduling on top of their ERP, ranked #1 of 10 on our small manufacturers list as of October 2026. SkyPlanner APS costs from 199 euros per month, 5 workstations included, 20 euros per month per extra workstation. The free trial lasts 30 days for up to 20 workstations and does not require a credit card. SkyPlanner APS features: finite capacity scheduling and automatic rescheduling
SkyPlanner states finite capacity scheduling across “Workstation limits, material availability, skills and setup times”, and its home page says shifts and calendars are modeled. Scheduling is material-aware: the features page lists stock balances and purchase orders, and says that if a delivery slips, Arcturus moves the job to when the materials are available.
Rescheduling runs on Arcturus, SkyPlanner’s in-house engine. The SkyPlanner features page describes three ways to change the plan:
- Autopilot: optional; when it is on, Arcturus “reviews the situation on every meaningful change”.
- King Button: Reschedule all, where “One press and Arcturus recalculates the entire plan in seconds”.
- Bulldozer: pushes unstarted work forward to now, so it does not sit in the past.
The features page covers batch jobs, where parts from several orders run together as one job, and assemblies, where sub-products feed the main product. The SkyPlanner customers page lists Fredman Operations in food packaging manufacturing and Laboratory & Allied in pharmaceutical manufacturing.
SkyPlanner schedules several factories in one environment. Workstation groups keep the resources of each site separate. Transfer times between sites are modeled as teardown or transport jobs, and work can be routed to the most efficient plant. Scheduling rules are global, not set per site. The SkyPlanner pricing page lists “Planning across several sites” as a use case.
SkyPlanner does not list demand forecasting or S&OP among its features as of October 2026.
SkyPlanner APS ERP integration
SkyPlanner APS connects to any ERP or MES through its two-way REST API, with webhooks and CSV import, in-house ERPs included. The SkyPlanner home page says customer projects have connected SAP, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Odoo, Epicor, Sage and Siemens.
The integration is built on the API; SkyPlanner’s onboarding service covers the setup. The setup maps items, routings, work orders and workstations from the ERP, settles which system owns order dates, and defines how schedule results and progress are written back.
How SkyPlanner APS fits each ERP, with setup notes and the other options: SAP S/4HANA, Dynamics 365 Business Central, Odoo, Epicor Kinetic and Sage. Every ERP we cover is on production scheduling software by ERP.
SkyPlanner APS implementation time
SkyPlanner’s time to first schedule is minutes with demo data, according to its features page as of October 2026. The free trial includes self-onboarding, with demo data, videos and the AI agent included. The trial covers up to 20 workstations. Simple production fits in a day, and more complex setups take longer. The built-in AI agent, tutorial videos and Getting Started guide carry the team through the setup. No ERP is required to start.
Assisted onboarding is optional for teams that would rather work with an expert, who plans the setup, imports data and trains the team. The pricing page lists it as a separately priced service. The ERP integration is built on the API, and SkyPlanner’s onboarding service covers the setup.
