Production Scheduling ReviewsEvery score sourced, every price dated

About Production Scheduling Reviews

Production Scheduling Reviews ranks and compares production scheduling software: advanced planning and scheduling (APS) tools, MES, and ERP and MRP systems that include a scheduler. Every ranking uses criteria and weights published before scoring, every score has a source, and every price and trial is re-checked at least every 90 days. The site is written by the Production Scheduling Reviews editorial team.

What we cover

We cover software that decides which job runs on which machine, in which order and when. That includes:

  • APS tools that build finite capacity schedules and reschedule when orders, machines or materials change.
  • ERP and MRP systems with a built-in or add-on scheduler, scored on how far their scheduling actually goes.
  • MES that run shop-floor execution, data collection and traceability.
  • Planning platforms for multi-plant and supply chain planning.

For each product we publish a review page with pricing, trial terms, scheduling depth and integrations. On top of the reviews sit ranked lists by buyer segment, head-to-head comparisons, alternatives pages, a pricing index, a free trial index and industry statistics.

How rankings are built

Each ranked list targets one buyer segment, such as small manufacturers, job shops, process industry or enterprise multi-plant groups. For each segment we fix the criteria and their weights first. The weights add up to 100 and are published on the methodology page.

Each product then gets a score from 0 to 5 on every criterion. Each score has a written rationale, a source URL and a verification date. The weighted total is computed from the scores: each score is multiplied by its weight, divided by 5 and summed. Nobody types a total or a rank by hand. If a verified fact changes a score, the total and the order change with it, whichever vendor moves.

Review sites such as G2 and Capterra are shown for context. Their ratings do not enter the weighted total.

What we verify and how often

Prices, trial terms and core features come from pages the vendor owns: pricing pages, product pages and documentation. Each fact carries the URL it came from.

  • Prices and trials are re-verified at least every 90 days, and sooner when a vendor changes them.
  • Every page shows the date its facts were last verified and the date of the next scheduled check.
  • Unpublished prices are shown as “quote”. We never estimate a price a vendor does not publish.
  • Missing facts are shown as not published by the vendor, with the date we checked.

The full pipeline, from source capture to the dated change log, is described on the editorial process page.

Corrections

When we get a fact wrong, we fix it on the page, add a dated line to that page’s change log and list the correction on the public corrections log. If a correction changes a score, the affected lists are re-scored the same day.

How vendors submit factual corrections

Vendors and readers can send factual corrections to [email protected]. Include the page URL, the fact that is wrong, and a link to the vendor page that states the correct fact. We re-score only on published evidence: a link to a public pricing page, product page or documentation page. A statement sent by email without a public source is not enough to change a score.

See the contact page for what to send.

Who writes this site

All pages are written and maintained by the Production Scheduling Reviews editorial team. The team builds the scoring sheet, writes the reviews and lists, and runs the 90-day verification cycle. Questions about any page go to the same address: [email protected].
