frePPLe is open-source APS software best for manufacturers that want a finite capacity planning engine connected to Odoo or another ERP, ranked #3 of 10 on our small manufacturers list as of October 2026. The Community edition is free, while frePPLe does not publish its Cloud or Enterprise subscription price. A free trial lasts 15 days. Its defining capability is planning with both material and capacity limits: frePPLe states that it produces “finite-material and finite-capacity production plans”. It is not a fit if you need automatic rescheduling or a published subscription price.

frePPLe pricing 2026

frePPLe comes in Community, Cloud and Enterprise editions. The Community edition is free and open source. For Cloud and Enterprise, the pricing page shows a placeholder, “€ X per month”, and says the price depends on the number of item-location pairs. frePPLe does not publish a subscription figure as of October 2026.

The pricing page does publish service ranges. A proof of concept costs between 2,000 and 5,000 euros as of October 2026. An implementation costs between 5,000 and 25,000 euros. Yearly payment gives a 15% discount.

The free trial lasts 15 days as of October 2026. Whether a credit card is required is not published by the vendor. Cloud is free for 3 months during a proof of concept.

The lowest published paid price on our small manufacturers list belongs to Odoo Manufacturing, at 19.90 euros per user per month as of October 2026. Free plans exist from frePPLe Community Edition, Odoo One App Free, just plan it and Katana.

frePPLe features: finite capacity scheduling and automatic rescheduling

frePPLe states that it generates “finite-material and finite-capacity production plans”. The vendor also states AI-based sales forecasts, which puts some demand planning inside the same tool.

Automatic or event-triggered rescheduling is not mentioned on the frePPLe home page or the pricing page as of October 2026.

frePPLe ERP integration

frePPLe names Odoo and ERPNext as ERP integrations. For any other ERP, frePPLe offers a REST API, CSV and Excel import, and direct database access.

The integration work a buyer should expect: with Odoo or ERPNext, start from the named integration and check which objects it moves. With any other ERP, plan a data-mapping project for items, locations, resources, routings and orders. The implementation range on the pricing page gives a budget anchor for that work.

Deployment is either Cloud on frePPLe’s servers or Enterprise on your own servers. frePPLe describes the Enterprise edition as aimed at “organizations with complex requirements”.

The Community edition is developed in the open. The frePPLe GitHub repository says “The Community Edition is released under the MIT licence”, and it has a Discussions tab and a contributing guide. The README points to frepple.com for documentation, screencasts and build instructions.

frePPLe implementation time

The frePPLe home page mentions a “1 week POC” as of October 2026. The pricing page says a proof of concept takes “1-2 weeks”. A go-live time for a full implementation is not published by the vendor.

The proof of concept fee and the free Cloud period during it are both published on the pricing page, so a proof of concept can be budgeted before a sales call.
