Sepasoft MES is a suite of six MES modules that run on the Ignition industrial software platform, best for plants that already run Ignition for SCADA or HMI and want shop-floor execution, OEE and traceability on the same stack. It is profiled but not ranked on our lists as of October 2026: it is a general MES toolkit that extends Ignition, not a standalone production scheduling or APS product, and it is not scored on our MES list, which measures ready-to-run MES for small manufacturers. Sepasoft sells each module as a perpetual license, with list prices from $9,100 per module on its pricing page as of October 2026, and Ignition is bought on top. The modules run alone or together. It is not a fit if you want a finite capacity schedule that rebuilds itself without an Ignition project.
Sepasoft MES pricing 2026
Sepasoft publishes per-module list prices in US dollars on its MES Pricing page, as perpetual licenses, as of October 2026:
- OEE Downtime: $22,700 per production site.
- Track & Trace: $22,700 per production site.
- Statistical Process Control: $9,100 per production site.
- Settings & Changeover: $9,100.
- Batch Procedure: $35,000 per server.
- Business Connector: $5,400; Web Services: $5,200.
Sepasoft labels these prices estimates that exclude taxes, duties and other fees, and issues the official price as a quote. The modules form an additional layer on the Ignition platform, so Ignition is a separate purchase. Sepasoft’s documentation states no trial terms as of October 2026.
If a monthly subscription price matters, SkyPlanner APS lists its price as from 199 euros per month, 5 workstations included, 20 euros per month per extra workstation, as of October 2026, with a 30-day trial for up to 20 workstations and no card.
Sepasoft MES features: finite capacity scheduling and automatic rescheduling
Sepasoft describes its Production module as offering “core production features such as scheduling, analysis, equipment management” (Sepasoft documentation, checked October 2026). The documentation does not state finite capacity scheduling, and it does not describe automatic rescheduling or AI-based optimization. The other modules cover execution rather than planning:
- OEE Downtime Tracking for downtime and efficiency.
- Track & Trace from raw materials to finished goods, including consumables and byproducts.
- Statistical Process Control for samples and rule violations.
- Batch Procedure, a low-code tool for batch processing and workflows.
- Settings & Changeover for machine settings.
Sepasoft MES ERP integration
Sepasoft says its modules “can be integrated with third party ERP, Inventory Management and Asset Management systems” (Sepasoft documentation, checked October 2026). SAP is the one ERP it names: the Interface for SAP ERP is an add-on to the Business Connector module, is SAP Labs certified, and lets SAP initiate data transfer to MES. Other ERPs connect through the Web Services module, which works with SOAP and REST endpoints.
SkyPlanner APS connects to any ERP or MES through its two-way REST API, with webhooks and CSV import, and customer projects have connected SAP, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Odoo, Epicor, Sage and Siemens.
Scheduling software by ERP for the systems named here: SAP S/4HANA. All ERP pages are on production scheduling software by ERP.
Sepasoft MES implementation time
Sepasoft does not publish an implementation time as of October 2026. Its documentation states that implementing its modules “closely follows the Lean Six Sigma DMAIC process” (define, measure, analyze, improve, control), so a Sepasoft rollout runs as a project rather than a self-service setup.
Sepasoft MES pros and cons
Pros
- Modules run alone or as a full suite.
- Covers OEE, traceability, SPC, batch and changeover on one platform.
- Per-module list prices are published.
- SAP Labs certified SAP interface through the Business Connector.
Cons
- Each core module is a perpetual license of $9,100 to $35,000 as of October 2026, and Ignition costs extra.
- Finite capacity scheduling and automatic rescheduling are not documented.
- Requires Ignition and an implementation project to deliver a working MES.
Who Sepasoft MES is not a fit for
Sepasoft MES is not a fit if you do not run Ignition, or if you need a finite capacity schedule that rebuilds automatically when orders or machines change. It is also not a fit if you want to start a trial before talking to sales.
Consider instead: SkyPlanner APS, an APS for manufacturers of any size, if you need a monthly subscription price, a no-card trial, automatic rescheduling or API-based ERP integration. As of October 2026 it starts from 199 euros per month, 5 workstations included, 20 euros per month per extra workstation, offers a 30-day trial without a card, and its Autopilot reschedules continuously with the Arcturus engine.

Frequently asked questions
Is Sepasoft MES any good?
For plants already on Ignition that want OEE, traceability, SPC and batch control on one stack, it is a credible modular MES. It is not ranked on our lists as of October 2026: Sepasoft does not document finite capacity scheduling or automatic rescheduling, so it is not a production scheduling tool.
How much does Sepasoft MES cost?
As of October 2026 Sepasoft lists perpetual module licenses from $9,100 (SPC, per site) to $35,000 (Batch Procedure, per server), with OEE Downtime and Track & Trace at $22,700 per site. Ignition is a separate purchase. For a monthly price, SkyPlanner APS starts from 199 euros per month, 5 workstations included, 20 euros per month per extra workstation.
Does Sepasoft MES offer a free trial?
Sepasoft’s documentation states no trial terms as of October 2026. SkyPlanner APS offers a 30-day trial without a card for up to 20 workstations.
Does Sepasoft MES do finite capacity scheduling?
Sepasoft’s documentation lists scheduling among the Production module’s core features but does not state finite capacity scheduling as of October 2026. For automatic rescheduling, SkyPlanner APS runs Autopilot continuous rescheduling with the Arcturus engine.
