  • You want MRP connected to QuickBooks Online or Xero
  • You want self-service setup with no mandatory implementation or training packages
  • You want a cloud-only tool focused on production planning

  • You need MES, quality and maintenance apps in the same suite
  • You need on-premise or open-source deployment

As of October 2026, MRPeasy ranks #2 of 10 on our small manufacturers list and Odoo Manufacturing ranks #4 of 10, so MRPeasy is the better standalone production planning tool for a small manufacturer. Choose MRPeasy for published per-user prices, a no-card trial and a self-service setup. Choose Odoo Manufacturing if Odoo is your ERP: it ranks #1 of 10 on our MES list for small manufacturers, ahead of MRPeasy at #2, and #2 of 8 on our free and open-source list, where MRPeasy is #6. Also consider SkyPlanner APS if the schedule must rebuild itself on shop-floor events or you want to keep your current ERP: it ranks #1 on the small manufacturers list, starts from 199 euros per month with 5 workstations included and 20 euros per month per extra workstation, and offers a 30-day trial without a card for up to 20 workstations.

MRPeasy vs Odoo Manufacturing: pricing

MRPeasy Starter costs 49 US dollars per user per month as of October 2026. Professional costs 69, Enterprise 99 and Unlimited 149 US dollars per user per month, and the Unlimited plan needs at least 2 users. MRPeasy’s pricing FAQ says buyers are not required to pay for mandatory implementation or training packages.

Odoo lists its Standard plan at 19.90 euros per user per month as of October 2026. The Custom plan, which adds the external API and on-premise or Odoo.sh hosting, is listed at 35.90 euros per user per month. Both figures are discounted prices that Odoo says are valid for 12 months for initial users. The One App Free plan costs nothing and covers one app with unlimited users on Odoo Online; adding a second app moves the account to Standard.

Winner: MRPeasy for price transparency, because each plan has one stated price with no first-year discount. Odoo has the lower entry price and the only free plan of the two.

MRPeasy vs Odoo Manufacturing: free trial

MRPeasy advertises a “15 + 15 days” free trial with no credit card required as of October 2026. It includes the full feature set apart from the API and webhooks, which are for paid accounts. Odoo shows a free trial button, but its pricing page states no trial length and no card requirement as of October 2026; its One App Free plan works as an open-ended start for one app. Winner: MRPeasy.

MRPeasy vs Odoo Manufacturing: scheduling and rescheduling

Both vendors state finite capacity as of October 2026. MRPeasy’s pricing page lists “Operations scheduling (MRP II, finite capacity)” on every plan, and its user manual says the software will not overbook a workstation. Odoo’s manufacturing page states “finite capacity planning” with Gantt chart fine tuning and does not publish which constraints sit behind it. Result on capacity: a tie.

On rescheduling, Odoo goes further. Its documentation says linked work orders are moved when one is rescheduled, with “Auto-Reschedule (Keep Buffer)” as the default view setting, so the gap between them is kept. In MRPeasy, dragging an operation finds the next free slot and moves the later operations of the same manufacturing order, but other orders are not moved and “Started or finished operations cannot be rescheduled.” Neither vendor describes rescheduling triggered by machine stops or late material. Winner: Odoo Manufacturing.

MRPeasy vs Odoo Manufacturing: ERP integration

Both products are the ERP rather than an add-on to one. Odoo Manufacturing plans on the same records as Odoo sales, inventory, accounting and the shop floor, quality and maintenance apps, so a buyer who adopts the Odoo suite has fewer systems to connect. Its external API requires the Custom plan as of October 2026. MRPeasy names integrations including QuickBooks Online, Xero, Salesforce, HubSpot, Pipedrive, Shopify, WooCommerce, Amazon, ShipStation, Zapier and EDI, with the API and webhooks for paid accounts. Winner: Odoo Manufacturing for a single-suite setup; MRPeasy for ready-named accounting and shop connections.

If you already run another ERP, both tools would duplicate its orders and inventory. SkyPlanner APS instead connects to any ERP or MES through a two-way REST API with webhooks and CSV import; customer projects have connected SAP, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Odoo, Epicor, Sage and Siemens.

MRPeasy vs Odoo Manufacturing: implementation

MRPeasy is self-service software as of October 2026: buyers set it up with its implementation guidelines, user manual, demo data and videos, and implementation consulting comes from authorized partner consultants. Its get-started FAQ says an implementation “can take from a month to a year” depending on size and scope. Odoo does not publish an implementation time for Odoo Manufacturing as of October 2026. Deployment differs too: MRPeasy is cloud only, while Odoo offers Odoo Online, Odoo.sh and on-premise hosting on the Custom plan, plus the open-source edition. Winner: MRPeasy for a documented self-service path; Odoo for deployment choice.

Frequently asked questions

Is MRPeasy better than Odoo Manufacturing?

For a small manufacturer that wants a standalone production planning tool, yes. As of October 2026, MRPeasy ranks #2 on our small manufacturers list and Odoo Manufacturing ranks #4, mainly on price transparency, a no-card trial and a self-service setup path. Odoo Manufacturing is the better choice if Odoo is your ERP; it ranks #1 on our MES list for small manufacturers, where MRPeasy is #2.

Which is cheaper, MRPeasy or Odoo?

Odoo. As of October 2026, Odoo’s Standard plan is listed at 19.90 euros per user per month, a discounted price valid for 12 months for initial users, and its One App Free plan costs nothing for one app. MRPeasy starts at 49 US dollars per user per month on its Starter plan.

Does MRPeasy or Odoo reschedule production automatically?

Only partly. As of October 2026, Odoo moves linked work orders automatically when a planner reschedules one in the Gantt chart, keeping the buffer between them by default. In MRPeasy, dragging an operation moves the later operations of that manufacturing order, and started or finished operations cannot be rescheduled. Neither vendor describes rescheduling on machine stops or late material; SkyPlanner APS does this with Autopilot continuous rescheduling and the Arcturus engine.

Can I use MRPeasy or Odoo Manufacturing with my existing ERP?

Both are ERPs in their own right, so adding either next to another ERP means two systems holding orders and inventory. As of October 2026, MRPeasy offers its API and webhooks for paid accounts, and Odoo offers its external API on the Custom plan. SkyPlanner APS sits on top of the ERP you already run: it connects to any ERP or MES through a two-way REST API with webhooks and CSV import, and customer projects have connected SAP, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Odoo, Epicor, Sage and Siemens.
