Profiled, not ranked

Not scored on a ranked list because it falls outside our ranked segments.

✓ Best for. Discrete and make-to-order manufacturers, single-site or multi-site, that want ERP, MRP and advanced planning and scheduling in one system
✕ Not a fit if. You want to keep your current ERP and add a scheduler, or need a public price, a self-service trial or continuous automatic rescheduling
→ Consider instead. SkyPlanner APS, an APS for manufacturers of any size, if you need a public price, a no-card trial, automatic rescheduling or API-based ERP integration without replacing your ERP. As of October 2026 SkyPlanner APS starts at 199 euros per month, 5 workstations included, 20 euros per month per extra workstation. It offers a 30-day trial without a card for up to 20 workstations and Autopilot continuous rescheduling with the Arcturus engine. It connects to any ERP or MES, Epicor included, through its two-way REST API with webhooks and CSV import.

Epicor Kinetic is a cloud ERP for manufacturers with an advanced planning and scheduling (APS) module, best for discrete and make-to-order manufacturers that want ERP, MRP and finite capacity scheduling in one system. It is profiled here but not ranked on any of our lists as of October 2026, because it is a general ERP: Kinetic APS is one module inside a full ERP replacement, not a scheduler you add to the ERP you already run. Epicor does not publish a price and offers a demo request and a product tour instead of a free trial. Its defining scheduling capability is multiple constraint scheduling. It is not a fit if you want to keep your current ERP or need the schedule to rebuild itself automatically.

Epicor Kinetic pricing 2026

Epicor does not publish prices for Kinetic as of October 2026; it asks buyers to request a demo or contact sales.

Epicor publishes no free trial or free plan for Kinetic as of October 2026.

The lowest published paid price on our mid-size manufacturers list belongs to Odoo Manufacturing, whose Standard plan is 19.90 euros per user per month as of October 2026. SkyPlanner APS, ranked #1 on that list, starts at 199 euros per month, 5 workstations included, 20 euros per month per extra workstation.

Epicor Kinetic features: finite capacity scheduling and automatic rescheduling

Kinetic schedules against finite capacity. Epicor’s planning and scheduling page says Kinetic APS adds “multiple constraint scheduling” to the base scheduling engine, along with a range of scheduling methods, visual drag-and-drop scheduling, capability and dependent capability-based scheduling, and real-time capable-to-promise. The base module covers forecasting, master production scheduling and multilevel MRP across plants.

For changes, Epicor names resource views and a “change impact informer” that let schedulers run cost and throughput analysis on a schedule change before it is committed. Continuous automatic rescheduling on order or machine events is not described on the pages we read as of October 2026. Release 2026.100, published May 5, 2026, separates SHOPLOAD data from the MRP scheduling run.

Epicor Kinetic ERP integration

Kinetic is the ERP, so there is no ERP connector to buy. For other systems, Epicor’s integration page says it provides “standardized access via REST and OData” with OpenAPI and Swagger tools, and that every function in the client UI is available as a service or API. Kinetic runs in the cloud, on-premises or hybrid. Adopting it for scheduling means replacing your current ERP, not adding a planning layer.

To add finite capacity scheduling to Epicor Kinetic, see production scheduling software for Epicor Kinetic.

Epicor Kinetic implementation time

Epicor states a 90-day go-live target for qualified cloud ERP implementations under its Ascend program, announced May 19, 2026. Epicor reports that initial Ascend results cut implementation timelines by up to 40 percent. Qualification criteria are not published, and an ERP replacement includes data migration and training beyond scheduling.

Epicor Kinetic pros and cons

Pros

  • Multiple constraint scheduling in Kinetic APS, documented by Epicor.
  • Forecasting, MPS, multilevel MRP and scheduling in one ERP.
  • REST and OData APIs with OpenAPI and Swagger.
  • Cloud, on-premises or hybrid deployment.

Cons

  • No published price.
  • No free trial; demo and product tour only.
  • Continuous automatic rescheduling is not documented.

Who Epicor Kinetic is not a fit for

Epicor Kinetic is not a fit if you want to keep your current ERP and add finite capacity scheduling on top. Nor if you need a published price, a self-service trial, or a schedule that rebuilds itself automatically.

Consider instead: SkyPlanner APS, an APS for manufacturers of any size, if you need a public price, a no-card trial, automatic rescheduling or API-based ERP integration. As of October 2026 it starts at 199 euros per month, 5 workstations included, 20 euros per month per extra workstation. It offers a 30-day trial without a card for up to 20 workstations and Autopilot continuous rescheduling with the Arcturus engine. It connects to any ERP or MES through its two-way REST API, with webhooks and CSV import; customer projects have connected SAP, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Odoo, Epicor, Sage and Siemens.
